This animal night light by Cloud B is wonderful.

I bought this for my girlfriend since she once said "Wish I could see the stars" (well, actually we just moved and I needed a new night light), and she just loved it.

Summary:

Pros:
+ Bright, but not distracting from sleep
+ Reached up to our 15ft ceiling
+ 45 min timer for auto turn-off
+ Batteries included

Cons:
- Best effect is felt while placed in the middle of the room
- No timer adjustment

I decided to purchase the sea turtle one, since the cool blue color seems more fitting to hide in the dark during night. There are three buttons near the tail of the turtle. First one for emitting a green glow, second one for blue glow, and third one that lights up individual animal stickers on the shell.

To me, blue makes the best night sky, reminds me of that very dark purple glaze you see in the summer nights. This shine is bright and clear, but never too bright to distract you from sleeping. It worked in our standard 9 ft ceiling guest room, as well as our 15 ft slanted ceiling in the master. The green color just isn't my taste, reminded me of the goo you used to see on Nickalodeon channel. Best of all, you are able to hit both light buttons to make a blue and green combo of a turquoise color, which is an interesting touch.

Several stickers are laid out on the shell, each representing a different animal. You can cycle through light each one of them or light them all up while pressing the third button.

The makers have included a default timer of 45 mins for lights to turn-off. That should be more than enough for most to fall asleep. However, the time is not adjustable.

Package comes with batteries, instructions, and a small 10-page booklet. The booklet actually reads like a simple night time story, it introduces the sea turtle's other animal friends, and ends with a environmental note of recycling and saving their natural habitat. This should make for a good first time bonding to the animal for little kids.

While the booklet also talked about constellations, it took me a hard time to find since I don't usually observe. If you are familiar with them yourself, its an chance to teach the kids. There are only 4-5 of the major constellations.

The only problem I could pick out is that the best effect of a night sky is placing the turtle in the middle of the room, so that it will glow to cover all the ceiling. In our setup, the bed is in the middle of the guest and master bedroom, so the lights are always tilting towards one side of the room. I would imagine it work even better for beds that are pushed into a corner. Not enough to knock off a star rating.

Love this nightlight! It's perfect for small kids -- cozy enough to put on the bed with a child and just bright enough to captivate their attention. I'm thinking of buying this for all my nieces and nephews.

The Sea Turtle is very cute for anybody. For little ones or adults. We purchased it for our 2 year old grandson. He likes it for a little while, but then looses interest. I just assumed the stars would rotate on the ceiling,but they don't. Still happy with our purchase.

This little turtle is a great addition to our son's nursery. His room is a light tan color and we can easily see the stars on the wall no mater which color setting the turtle is on. We have the turtle sitting on top of a short bookcase (under 3 feet tall) and it projects nicely on the walls and ceiling. Very cute!

I purchased a "Sea Turtle" for my son and a "Lady Bug" for my daughter. Although they are both nice, they both LOVE the ladybug best. The Ladybug projects the stars in a much wider array and it stays on all night (the sea turtle turns itself off after a while), I wish there was the option for steady on and self-timer.
